On a beautiful November day, it was Hamish & Kerri's turn to exchange their vows at the stunning Le Petit Château, Northumberland. As the bride and groom were getting ready, their guests began to arrive and enjoyed drinks on the venue's terrace.

Their celebrant wedding ceremony was held in the French inspired 'Belle Epoque' ceremony room with flowers, by Purple Haze flowers, adding to the romantic scene.

After we reminded guests to put their phones away, confetti etiquette, and to enjoy every moment, we welcomed Kerri into the room as she made her grand entrance with her father and bridesmaids.

Once their friends and family were seated, it was the perfect time to greet their forty guests properly and unveil the surprise element of the ceremony which everyone could participate in.

We asked their page boys to take the rings to the back of the room for us and invited their guests to each take a moment to warm the rings with well wishes whilst we told their story.

What followed was a moment to remember loved one's who are no longer with us with a short poem too.

Once the rings started their journey back to the front, it was time to talk about the two people we were all here to celebrate! We delved into Hamish and Kerri's relationship, discussing their thoughts on marriage, what they've learnt from their time together, and their shared passions in life, all leading to a bespoke poem which reminded us of their relationship history from their meet-cute in a nightclub to this precious milestone.

Of course, we had to go into more detail about their adventures abroad and the proposal before they came to exchange their promises too.

You may be wondering about the rings... yes, they did make it back to the front!

Now that they were blessed with the well wishes of everyone present, it was time for Kerri and Hamish to place these on each other's fingers, and we all got a good laugh when Hamish had some difficulty with his!

Sticking to the theme of the importance of family and community, the happy couple decided to include a Handtying featuring their family tartan, to represent their two families and lives coming together on this day. We invited their fathers to join us at the front to place the fabric over the couple's joined hands which was then loosely tied for their vow exchange - a moment of emotion and laughter!

Once their handwritten vows were read, it was time for Kerri and Hamish to tie the knot!

A poem was recited which the newlyweds completed with "I do" in unison and shortly after the couple released their hands and pulled the knot tightly, signifying the strength their relationship has, their community coming together, and their two lives being bound forever!

Now that the rings were warmed, the knot tied, and their promises given, we reintroduced the new Mr and Mrs to their family and friends who went crazy with a round of applause! The couple signed a decorative certificate and to finish their bespoke ceremony their guests showered them with confetti - marking the start of their amazing wedding day!

Congratulations Kerri and Hamish! x
