Modern Wedding Ceremonies

Written & officiated by Meg, an award-winning celebrant

Personalised, relaxed and fun Wedding & Vow renewal Ceremonies with Meg!

Your wedding ceremony should tell your love story. As a wedding celebrant, I can help you create a bespoke wedding ceremony script that fits your unique personalities and beliefs. From beautiful handwritten wedding vows to personalised poems, I can help make your wedding ceremony a memorable part of your special day.

As a trained wedding celebrant, I will work closely with you to create the perfect wedding ceremony script that is tailored to your preferences. We will discuss your wedding ceremony readings, special ceremony elements, and song choices to create a bespoke ceremony that is perfect for you. You get to read wedding script drafts, provide feedback and try new ideas. The possibilities are endless!

I primarily cover wedding ceremonies in County Durham, Yorkshire, Teeside, Northumberland, and Darlington, but I'm also happy to travel. If you're still unsure whether a celebrant ceremony is the right choice for you, give me a call or arrange a meeting to discuss your options.

Please read reviews on my home page too!

Pricing for our personalised celebrant wedding or vow renewal ceremony packages starts at £600. Our new payment plans allow you to pay for your ceremony in monthly instalments, making it even easier to plan your perfect day.

Ceremony Elements

More couples are choosing to add 'special elements' to their wedding ceremonies. When you choose a wedding celebrant, you have more freedom to be creative and personalise your wedding ceremony. Of course, if symbolic elements aren't your thing, that's perfectly okay too! Check out what other couples have done via my 'real weddings' blog!

These symbolic wedding rituals can be tailored to reflect your relationship style and the theme of your wedding ceremony. Here are some ideas that you can use during your wedding or vow renewal ceremony. Don't hesitate to share any unique ideas you may have, as I am always excited to hear about new ideas and creations!

The legal bit

Unfortunately, independent wedding celebrants in the UK cannot currently legally marry couples. (We are hoping this will change soon).

The legal part takes approx 20 minutes and can be done at your local register office.

You must give your local registrar notice of your intend to marry and make arrangements as soon as possible. 2 witnesses must be present and you will get your marriage certificate signed at this point.
