A Renewal of Vows | Deb & Kev | Darlington Celebrant

Updated: Feb 1

Deb and Kev decided to renew their wedding vows at the gorgeous Walworth Castle, Darlington, back in August 2022. It was a beautiful sunny day and certainly worth the wait!

Their ceremony, as requested, was light-hearted and full of fun with wording alluding to their story so far and hopes fo the future. They decided to include a personalised poem, which told the tale of their romance in a cheeky and unique way.

This was followed by a handfasting ceremony, each ribbon in the cord represented the past, present and future of their marriage. They also chose to include their mother's in this symbolic part of their ceremony, a lovely personal touch, with each ribbon they placed over the couples arms representing two families, two lives and aspects of their married life. These two ribbons were joined together by the cord to symbolise their marriage being stronger than ever and ready for the future.

Following their beautiful vows and ring exchange, the couple signed their decorative certificate. Their certificate was designed with red/white rose graphics which complimented the couple's colour scheme & florals.

This wasn't the end of the fun! They finished their celebrant led ceremony with a Jagerbomb shot to seal the deal! Who doesn't love a shot when they tie the knot? We used their chosen drink, the Jagerbomb, as a metaphor for their marriage... which got a few laughs, a brilliant end to their ceremony which captured their personalities perfectly.

A day so nice, they did it twice! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Tomlinson on your vow renewal!
