Jane and Jamie's outdoor ceremony was held at the historic Hodsock priory back in August. Under the venue's gazebo, they said their promises in front of forty of their nearest and dearest surrounded by the romantic gardens. Their florals were created by Flowers by Kay which enhanced their lilac theme with elegance.

Prior to Jane's arrival, we asked their friends and family to put their devices away before holding a minute’s silence for Jane's father, who is dearly missed. With her father in our thoughts, it was time for the bridesmaids and flower girls to walk down the aisle followed by Jane's grand entrance with her Mother walking proudly by her side, a beautiful moment with guests beaming as they caught their first glimpse of the bride

We welcomed everyone to Jamie and Jane's big day and likened their relationship to their favourite TV shows, explaining how their love storyline had unravelled from their first meeting to this moment. We told their guests they now get to witness this next episode (the wedding) in real time and with that their bespoke ceremony began.

We talked about what they value most in this life, their first impressions when meeting, what they love most about each other, and differing/shared interests. Linking to the idea of the more we learn about our partner, the more there is to love. Of course, we had to name drop some of their favourite TV programmes too!

As we introduced their love story, we highlighted parts of their meet cute before sharing a bespoke poem capturing their favourite memories and key moments in their relationship, including welcoming their daughter into the world. We then delved a little deeper into random, funny moments as well as the challenges they've faced together which set us up nicely for their proposal story.

The proposal wasn't perfectly planned, Jamie had a few hurdles along the way, but the way he popped the questions in the end was so intimate and unexpected, adding that life doesn't have to be over-planned; it's about living in the moment.

Their handwritten vows were beautifully read, and it was such an emotional moment for Jane and Jamie as their friends and family watched on. To follow the newlyweds exchanged rings with a poem before we spoke about their hopes for the future and reintroduced them as Mr and Mrs!

The couple chose to involve their mothers in a decorative certificate signing to conclude their big moment. As they walked back up the aisle to their reception, they were greeted with applause and celebration, ready for confetti and eagerly anticipating the evening dancing!

Congratulations Jane and Jamie!!
