Real Wedding | Mr & Mrs Crosby | Barnard Castle Celebrant

Leanne and Michael's big day was a long time coming but was certainly worth the wait!

Their chosen venue was the picturesque Runa Farm in Barnard Castle. This venue's wedding chapel certainly leaves an impression and I was thrilled when the couple asked if I would write/officiate their bespoke ceremony. Our vibes matched from the very start!

Their wedding, on Good Friday, was made even more magical with the help of an amazing team of suppliers. Very Eventful provided stunning boho floral arrangements, while Ross serenaded the guests with his guitar and vocals.

The moment had arrived, it was time for Leanne's grand entrance down those iconic stairs. After a brief poem telling guests to turn their phones off, she stunned in her intricately detailed dress from Victoria Robson Bridal, beaming like a cheshire cat!

The ceremony itself wasn't read by the couple before their big day so the pressure was certainly on to create their personalised wedding ceremony.

We started with a welcome to all guests, with a nod to some of the bridesmaids, sisters and groomsmen, as well as a special dedication to those they missed.

We spoke about what marriage means to Leanne and Michael, sprinkled with hints of hilarious anecdotes and special memories as laughter echoed in the beautiful wedding chapel!

Their reading was a bespoke poem which told their story in a unique way. It reminded their guests of how they met, reactions from family and spoke briefly of their time apart, resulting in their eventual reunion.

As we spoke of the future, we invited the couple to recite their vows, written by the couple with my help (gorgeous!). Followed by their sons delivering the rings which was the cutest moment! One the family will remember forever we're sure.

After (finally!) being introduced as husband and wife for the first time, cheers filled the chapel as the couple left in a shower of confetti.

The perfect combination of storytelling, laughter, decor and live music made this ceremony one to remember! Congratulations again Leanne and Michael!
