Many of my couples are looking for ways to include all of their guests in their wedding ceremony and I'm here for it! Over the last 4 years being a wedding celebrant, I've been a part of some incredible moments from fun-filled quizzes to meaningful band warmings... So, I thought I'd share some with you lovely people!

So, let's cut right to the chase! Here are six ways you can include your guests in your personalised, celebrant ceremony!

Band Warming

At the beginning of your wedding ceremony, we will give your ring box to the person sat the the top corner of the room.

We will then instruct your guests to take it in turns to "warm" the rings with well wishes.

By the time the rings are to be exchanged, they should have made it back to the front, blessed by everyone present.

Black-and-white wedding guests in formal wear sit quietly, a man checks a small box while a woman in a large hat smiles nearby.

Group Vow

Some personal vows will be written for your guests to say "WE DO" in unison (prompt card provided).

The wording we can discuss and make your own but we can talk about the support, care and love your friends and family have given you over the years etc.

Group shots

We're not talking about the photographs... we're talking about a shot of your favourite tipple. Your guests will all be invited to all take a shot during the ceremony.

The first toast of the day!

Quiz "how well do you know the couple?"

Let's get quizzical! Get two cards (they could have your faces on or you could pick different colours). These will be given to each of your guests prior to the ceremony.

We will then ask your guests a series of "Who is more likely to", "Who is more", "Who said"... (the list goes on). I usually try to link some of these back to your love story but I also add a few funny ones in there too, of course!!

Surprise Ring Bearer

I'll hide your wedding rings under a chair before your guests arrive. Then, during the ceremony, we will reveal that someone in the room is your surprise ring bearer and invite everyone to look under their chairs... this is always a fantastic moment and hilarious too! Who will it be??

Time Capsule

A beautiful way to involve everyone and all you need is a box.

Before your big day, ask your guests to write a letter to you or short note either sending best wishes, giving marriage advice or whatever springs to mind!

During the ceremony, we will invite everyone up to the front to place their note in the box and then we will lock it.

The idea is you will open this on your first anniversary and read the notes from all of your loved ones.

If you have a large gathering, we could also invite them to place them in the box before the ceremony begins or after.

We will complete this part of your ceremony with you placing letters to each other in the box too.

Bride places letter in a wooden box beside groom, with seated guests in the background.

So... there you have it, 6 ideas to include all of your wedding guests in your ceremony!

I have 6 more... let me know if you'd like more ideas!
