Hello, I'm Meg! Your relaxed, bubbly wedding celebrant here to celebrate life's most exciting moments!
I'm a storytelling wedding & family celebrant with a bubbly personality! I value fun, family, and preparation when planning ceremonies. I also LOVE crafting unique poetry readings.
Planning your ceremony with me is a collaboration. I want to hear your feedback and work together throughout the creative process ! I can't wait to hear about your time together and your plans for your big day!
As a celebrant and stationery designer, I also create vow and reading cards in-house, focusing on a completely personalised service, from your bespoke wedding ceremony script to your stationery!
I'm based in Darlington but so far I have officiated wedding ceremonies in County Durham, Darlington, Sedgefield, Newcastle, Northumberland, Cumbria, Stockton, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, & Nottinghamshire... so I cover wherever my couples would like me to go! Here are three random facts about me:

I have a degree in English Language and Linguistics! I am a bit of a nerd but I've always loved learning which certainly helps when researching/coming up with new ideas for ceremonies!

I love musical theatre. I try and go with my family at least once a year. This year we've booked in to see Legally Blonde: The Musical. I'm very excited about this one as I always call myself the celebrant 'Elle Woods' (I know, how cringe)

What is a wedding celebrant?
Wedding celebrants write and conduct personalised ceremonies. We get to know you, your story, your beliefs, and your plans for your big day.
We work with you to create a truly unique wedding ceremony AND you get to choose your celebrant! My ceremony planning style is relaxed, collaborative and fun! You'll be with me throughout your planning whether that be a wedding, vow renewal or naming day for you little one - I treat every family/couple the same!
There are no restrictions when it comes to creating a celebrant ceremony; you can have your ceremony at any time and location.
Plus, you have creative freedom; from surprise ring bearers to handwritten poetry, you can create a ceremony which feels like YOU! Whether you're a romantic pair or a couple who loves joking around, there really is something for everyone!
I don’t just write your ceremony and turn up on the day—I want your ideas, your feedback, and your input throughout your planning. On your day, I'll be there early to talk to your other suppliers and be ready to officiate the ceremony we've created together!
Choose personality over legality! Wedding celebrants, unfortunately, aren't legal in England, so you will need to get legally married at the register office, BUT then you get to have your ceremony how YOU want it on your big day!
