All the hidden parts of us, when it’s only you and me.

Eagerly awaiting each episode, plot twists and celebrations too

And even in the early days the first time saying, ‘I love you’.

They never change the channel, invested in our storyline,

A part of their favourite cast; now your fans join with mine.

But we are not fictional, no scripts tell us what to say.

Yet our friends and family still watch on here on our wedding day.

It’s real-life connection, not dramatised or a sitcom.

It’s two people standing here in person who finally found ‘the one’.

They listen to your stories; always schedule time for you.

As they watch this scene live, from romantic interest to saying, ‘I do’.

I wrote this poem for couples who love to binge watch a bit of Netflix or enjoy getting lost in a good series. It gives this notion of your family and friends being your biggest 'fans' and how they've loved watching your story unfold. Of course, your story isn't dramatised for views, it's real life, but they still watch on with anticipation for upcoming 'seasons'.
